Celebratory Dinner

We're having a girl! Either way we were going to be happy if we saw a beating heart and healthy baby. We decided we would each write our top boy names and girl names in a card and switch at dinner. I would get girl presents and Joey would get boy presents. Since I thought I knew it was a boy- I bought a plethora of Yankees attire for our son to wear because he WILL be a yanks fan. I also wrote Joey a card saying- See you should have listened to me, it's maternal instinct. I just knew it was a boy! As you can see in this picture.... he was very excited to give me that look and finger to remind me I was wrong and all this boy name battling was for no reason.
Boy gifts!
We should have did this the other way around because Joey was not as excited as I thought he would be about hair bows and cute girl shoes. When he pulled out the gifts he was like oh, hair stuff and shoes. I was like UM YES, what every girl needs! He followed it up with- Do I need to learn how to do pig tails? Such a cutie!

Top three name choices: Sydney Lea (what my family calls me) or Sydney Alise (Harm's middle name), Avery Grace, or Emma Katherine (Joey's Mom's name). We love all the names and are not sure how we are going to chose. We think there is a line of Buffamante girls coming so we will be able to use them all at some point. After dinner we stopped at a few stores because I just had to buy some girly stuff. This poor baby has a lot of blues and browns- I needed some girly clothes to make it feel real! There are SO many cute girl outfits and accessories- Joey was overwhelmed by the hair bows, shoes, and bright colors. We are so excited for baby girl Buffamante!
