Happy Birthday Marine Corps

For the Marine Corps birthday (November 10) they always celebrate. It is a tradition to have a cake cutting ceremony where the oldest Marine present eats cake and passes it to the youngest Marine present. It is a beautiful ceremony! The picture of the Marine saluting was taken at the cake cutting ceremony on base. So you can see the terrain where we live in the distance. Don't let the grass fool you, that is only because this was in front of the General's building. They were presenting the flags so all the Marines have to salute. All the rest of the pictures are from the Marine Corps Ball. Around the USMC birthday every unit has a ball to celebrate. This year Joey's ball was in Indio, California. It was at a beautiful Hyatt hotel and we had a great time. I think Joey may have had too good of a time and he paid for it the next day! :)
