Out on the Range

For a sponsorship appreciation day the Marine Corp Community Service took all the sponsors of the base to Mojave Viper. Since I deal with all the sponsorship and events at work, I was finally able to see where Joey works. It was really awesome to see the things that Joey talks about. We sat through classes about the training and hear how highly they talked about "Coyotes". Coyotes are the names for the guys Joey works with at Mojave Viper. They were talking about how intense the training is and what loyalty and service these men have to their countries. I was so honored to know my husband is doing having such a great impact on the freedom we have every day. It made me realize that all the long hours my very tired husband works are for a great purpose. Basically there are real Iraqi's in this little town that live there for the soul purpose of training the Marines to go to Iraq and Afghanistan. This town is made of old connex boxes and they do everything to make it like a real Iraqi village. They have fake markets, there is a mayor, broken down cars. They run through real drills with these Iraqis to make sure the Marines are ready for combat. Joey NEVER told me about all the cool stuff he does at work. I guess after long days he really doesn't want to spend his little time away from work talking about it. The picture of the little robot is a device they use to detonate bombs. We got to play around with them and they are AMAZING!
